"November Two Radio Frequency Yesterday"

Welcome to my web site!

First Personal is Dan, my QTH is Montgomery County New York. I've been a ham operator since 1992. I came into the hobby as a "No-Code" Technician, I then took my 5wpm code test and became a Tech +, and talked all around the world on 10m with a Ranger RCI 2950 and a Shakespeare Pogostik 10m vertical. That got me hooked on HF and on DX'ing. Now I'm currently a General Class and working on my Extra Class upgrade.

I'm an ARRL accredited General Class VE, and a member of SKYWARN

I just earned my WAC award!

HF base station operating conditions consist of a Yeasu FT-840, an LDG Z-100 auto tuner, an Astron 20a power supply, a Yaesu MD-100 Mic, and a 102' G5RV. VHF base station operations are handled through a Realistic HTX-202 powered from a TrippLite 7a power supply and a Cushcraft Ringo Ranger 2m vertical. Mobile operations are through a Yaesu FT-2200 2m rig, and portable through a Standard Radio C558A 2m/70cm Twin Bander HT.

My Shack

You can usually find me anywhere on 10 through 20 meters chasing DX, but I have a particular liking of 17m. I also am a frequent nightly check-in on the 1721 roundtable group at 7.270 on 40 meters, as well a occasional check-in on the Marconi Net at 3.872 on 75/80 meters. Look for me locally on the Cobleskill Repeater at 146.610 - offset (PL tone of 123.00).

Hope to meet you on the bands.
